The Helping Hands Program offers assistance to families on an as needed basis. Children with autism often have areas of need that fall outside the scope of their early intervention or centre based program. ABA International works directly with you and your child to improve common areas of deficit such as restricted eating habits, self-help skills and behavioural concerns. Targeting behaviours in the environments where they most likely occur is the most effective way to create long term change.
The Helping Hands Program is available for delivery wherever a behaviour of concern occurs. Past examples of service delivery include the home, the beach, a busy shopping centre, schools, karate class and a birthday party. Our goal is to increase your child's self-help skills and inclusion throughout the day, week and year!
The Helping Hands program offers a flexible schedule of two hour visits per week or fortnightly, depending on your needs. Twice weekly visits are also available. All visits are provided on an as needed basis and are covered under FaHCSIA's Helping Children With Autism (HCWA) package.
